In 2010 we were able to help out many families in need in addition to our charities that we normally give money to. We gave to Abilities First, Animal Adoption Foundation and the Somerville Fire Department again this year. We also helped out a family at Christmas this year that was going through some tough times, as well as a family whose daughter was going through major surgery!  It mean so much to us to help these families and non profit organizations in honor of Tyler!   Thanks again for all the support from our friends and family!  If it was not for you guys, this foundation would not continue to grow like it does.

In 2011, the Foundation was again able to help many families in need in our community, as well as sponsoring a family at Christmas. One of our most rewarding donations was an Ipad to an autistic child who desperately needed the device to communicate with his family. After 13 years, he was able to tell his mom that he wanted a cheeseburger, fries and a coke from McDonalds! We are happy to know that thru Tyler, the life of this family has changed for the better.

The Foundation has also donated to Farm Safety for Kids.  The mission of Farm Safety 4 Just Kids is to promote a safe farm environment to prevent health hazards, injuries, and fatalities to children and youth. According to the National Children’s Center, more than 100 youth and adolescents are killed and another 23,000 injured every year on farms and ranches in the United States.  Due to the nature of Tyler’s accident, Tyler’s parents, Shane & Ann Richardson (founders of the Foundation), are eager to support this organization in hopes that accidents such as Tyler’s can be prevented in the future.  For additional information, please visit http://www.fs4jk.org/services.htm

A portion of the money collected will go directly to this volunteer fire department that responded to Tyler in his moment of need.  Without these great people we would of never had the honor of saying goodbye to him.  I would like to also thank the Butler Co. Sheriffs deputy Matt Maxwell who was the 1st responder who also played a major role during this tragic time. God only knows how this has affected his life. Thanks again Matt.
